Our speakers, Lisa Calkins and Jeff Schmitz, co-founders of HalfBlast Studios, will demonstrate AI today and share examples of how different industries are using AI now.

Lisa Calkins is CEO and Founder of HalfBlast StudiosLisa Calkins

Lisa Calkins is CEO and Founder of HalfBlast Studios, an innovation development lab with a focus on mobile, AI, blockchain, and other leading-edge technologies. Her contagious energy and passion for technology, innovation, and strategy are easily recognized. She has helped demystify technology for us before and has been asked to speak and present on innovative technologies at various conferences for the past several years.

Lisa and her team have had many successes with Fortune 500, mid-market enterprises, and startups to transform their business with innovative technology. She previously held positions as Chief Strategy Officer of a global consulting company, CEO & Founder of a US-based software consulting agency and manager with Accenture. She has been recognized as Woman of the Year in the Technology Industry in Colorado.

When not reading about AI or mobile engagement techniques, she enjoys football (sko Buffs), diving (PADI dive instructor), and snowboarding.

Jeff Schmitz is CTO and Founder of HalfBlast Studios. He is a creative thinker, problem-solver, and architect utilizing the latest innovations in technology to solve business problems.

Jeff has the rare ability to translate customer needs into solutions that will meet their business objectives while also being an accomplished technologist. His most recent project involves a startup in the peer-to-peer gambling space. He has also worked on highly confidential solutions for Google’s Advanced Technology and Projects Division.

When not solving world problems or at least his customers, he is happily raising his two kids and striving to instill in them the same enthusiasm for skiing that he holds
