About Our Privacy Policy
Our relationship with you is our most treasured asset, and your trust and confidence in us is imperative. We understand that we must preserve your privacy to keep that trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, retain and secure your private financial information. Because we respect your privacy, we do not sell or otherwise share your personal information with nonaffiliated third parties without your consent, except as explained in this

Use of Your Personal Information
We collect, retain and use personal information about you to provide you with the services you have requested, to maintain your records and accounts, to otherwise meet your financial needs and to meet AMG’s regulatory and other business needs. Throughout this Policy we refer to information we collect that personally identifies you and is not obtained from public sources as “personal information,” including your financial affairs, objectives, personal circumstances and private matters. To assist us in providing you with the services you request, we maintain personal information on a computer system that is accessible from AMG’s various office locations. AMG maintains security controls over this system.

How We Collect Information
As part of providing you with trust, financial counseling, investment advisory, tax compliance or other services, we may obtain information about you from a number of sources, including:

  • Information you provide to us, such as on applications, forms, questionnaires, tax and financial planning organizers and financial documents, or through personal discussions and meetings. This information may include your name, address, social security number, employment information, assets, income, phone numbers, e-mail address, investment holdings and other personal information.
  • Information you have authorized us to receive from third parties, such as your employer, brokers, separate account managers, insurers, accountants and attorneys. This information may include benefit structures, account balances, securities transactions, estate plans and insurance policy beneficiaries.
  • Information about your transactions with us, our affiliates or others.
  • Information from public sources, such as securities filings, real estate records and telephone records.

Sharing Information
We do not provide your personal information to third parties except in limited circumstances. We may:

  • Provide your personal information to third parties with your verbal or written consent, such as to your attorney, accountant or an account co-owner.
  • Share your name, address and certain financial information with our affiliates who may contact you about services that may interest you, including donor-advised gifting services and private capital investments.
  • Disclose personal information to third parties as required or permitted by law, for example, to respond to a judicial or dispute resolution proceeding or to regulatory authority requests; as needed in connection with a proposed or actual reorganization, sale, acquisition, merger, transfer or exchange of our business when the other parties have agreed to keep such information confidential; to protect against fraud; to resolve your inquiries; to persons acting in a fiduciary or representative capacity for you; to persons holding a legal or beneficial interest relating to you; and to our attorneys, accountants and auditors.
  • Provide your personal information to service providers who help us process your applications, service your accounts or otherwise provide services to you. These service providers include separate account managers, securities brokers, insurers, attorneys, internet-hosting providers, and performance reporting, tax return processing, accounting, printing and mailing services. We share information with such persons only as we deem appropriate for the service provider to carry out its business functions on behalf of our clients.

Protecting Your Information
We maintain physical, electronic and procedural safeguards to protect your nonpublic personal information. We restrict access to nonpublic personal information to those employees who have a business reason for such information. Our employees understand the importance of your privacy and are required to maintain it. Our Privacy Policy applies to current and former clients. If we later decide that we need to share any of your personal information in a way that is inconsistent with this Policy, we will give you advance notice of the proposed change. In such case, you may direct us not to make certain disclosures to nonaffiliated third parties.
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns. We value your business and are committed to protecting your privacy. We will continue to work to be your most trusted adviser.
