J. Wayne Hutchens

J. Wayne Hutchens was named to the AMG National Trust Bank Board of Directors in June 2012. Mr. Hutchens has 29 years of experience in the banking industry and has overseen two successful mergers, retiring as chairman of Chase Bank Colorado. Prior to joining the AMG National Trust Bank Board, he served as President and CEO of the University of Colorado Foundation and executive director of the CU Real Estate Foundation.

Mr. Hutchens received his Bachelor’s Degree from the School of Business at the University of Colorado at Boulder, has done graduate study at Syracuse University and the University of Colorado, and is a graduate of the Stonier Graduate School of Banking. He has been active in the community, serving on a number of boards including the Colorado Council for Economic Education, Metro Denver Chamber of Commerce, Samaritan Institute, Boulder Community Hospital and the Colorado Outward Bound School. Mr. Hutchens served a four-year term on the city council for the City of Boulder. In addition to his role at AMG, he is currently a trustee of the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, a director of the Children’s Colorado Hospital and an elder in the Presbyterian Church. Mr. Hutchens is also a member of the Colorado Mountain Club and the American Alpine Club.
