Thomas B. Chesney

Thomas B. Chesney is President – Commercial Banking Division and leads the organization’s commercial banking activities. Mr. Chesney joined AMG National Trust Bank in 2005 after starting FlatIrons Bank in Boulder, Colorado. During his four years with FlatIrons Bank, he was Founder, CEO and President of the bank and bank holding company. Mr. Chesney holds an MBA from the University of Northern Colorado and a B.A. from the University of Colorado.

Mr. Chesney is active in community and industry organizations in the Denver and Boulder areas. He is the Chairman of the Board of the Center for Resource Conservation, a board member of the Independent Bankers of Colorado Education Foundation, and an advisory director to the Deming Center for Entrepreneurship at the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado. He is a past President for the Independent Bankers of Colorado and has served on the board of the American Council for the Blind of Colorado.
