C. Thomas Howard
Mr. Howard was named to the AMG National Trust Bank Board in 2001. He is a Professor at Reiman School of Finance in the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver. Professor Howard’s specialties are investment management and international finance. He joined the University of Denver faculty in 1978, and from 1994 to 2002, he led the Daniels College of Business MBA Program at the University of Denver. Howard has published academic articles and business cases dealing with a range of topics, including international finance, portfolio management and risk management. His work has appeared in academic journals as well as more popular publications such as Barron's. Howard is the author of A Vest Pocket Guide to Value Investing (1996) published by Dearborn Financial Publishing of Chicago.
After receiving his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering at the University of Idaho, Howard worked three years for Proctor & Gamble as a production and warehouse manager. He then entered Oregon State University where he received an M.S. in Management Science after which he received a Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Washington in 1978.
